Customers in the colocation data center will be exempt from all sales and use tax until 2029, this includes tax on electricity. Property tax at the site is also rebated up to 80 percent until 2026.

The site features an on premise power distribution substation and is directly connected to the two Duke Energy power generation plants near Lake Norman.

North Carolina is home to three Dominion Energy solar facilities built to power Facebook’s data centers in Virginia and North Carolina.
