A month after the world wide web turned 30, we at ResellersPanel are celebrating our 16th birthday!

It’s been a long journey for the web to grow from an information management system for the CERN scientists into a phenomenon that had a dramatic impact on the world’s economic and social life.

Within the last 16 years of that journey, we’ve been taking an active part in making the web a more open and profitable place for you via our ever-evolving reseller hosting platform.

We are celebrating that milestone with a new, dedicated server setup, and an exciting announcement. Keep reading for more information.

ResellersPanel in the light of the WWW’s 30th anniversary

For the 30 years of its existence, the web revolutionized the way people interact with each other and do business.

Sir Tim Berners-Lee, the founder of the WWW and of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), has recently reflected on the web’s 30th anniversary saying that the web is meant to be a global community and that we all have a responsibility to make sure it is recognised as a human right and used for the public good.

When we started out back in 2004, we were really excited to leverage the life-changing social and economic opportunities brought by the web and contribute to a more open and affordable environment via our own unique, DIY business model.

Our aim was to build up a platform that would allow anyone with basic computing knowledge to start up their own business from scratch at no cost.

We focused on web hosting and domain management as a really prospective business that would allow all of you to cater to an ever-growing market base.

16 years later, we are happy to serve more than 200 000 partners from all around the world, and make it really easy to sell a full range of web hosting services online – web hosting packages, semi-dedicated servers, dedicated servers, OpenVZ VPS and KVM servers, as well as domain names and SSL certificates.

With the help of our partners, we have managed to build a global community of ambassadors who contribute to making website hosting services available to every single corner of the world.

We celebrate our 16th anniversary with an infographic which illustrates the development of our DIY business model in the context of the global WWW evolution:

We celebrate our 16th birthday with a new, dedicated server setup

Just in time for our 16th birthday, we have released a new addition to our list of dedicated servers for you to take advantage of or offer to your own customer base.

It is an upped version of the Xeon 1 dedicated server software-wise and comes with the following technical characteristics:

The server comes with upgradeable storage as well.

You and your customers can choose to add up to 2 HDDs and up to 2 SSDs of various sizes on RAID 0, RAID 1, RAID 5 and RAID 10 rack setups.

You can enable the server with a click for your store from your Reseller Control Panel:

Once the server goes live, it will be listed as a new product on your store:

Apart from the new server setup, we’d also like to make another important announcement.

We are now working on a monthly payment cycle option that will allow you to offer flexible billing options for the web hosting packages on your web hosting store.

This is a great billing cycle alternative for prospects who need to spread payments out or those who want first-hand experience to get a taste of your service before they are ready to commit to an annual contract.

We’ll be keeping you updated on our progress with the monthly cycle option implementation, so stay tuned.
